How will the changes to the Police Service affect you as a member of the public or a Police Officer? What level of service can you expect in the future? Does the Winsor Report mean the end to professionally trained, uniformed Police Officers? Replaced by either PCSO’s or even private security?

Remember also Tom Winsor claimed this was an independent report however we also made you aware that his report mirrored David Cameron’s speech of 2006 so you make your own mind up just how independent it really is.

 

Our view is that David Cameron has long awaited his chance to destroy British Policing, “The last public service to be reformed”. Changes also highlighted by the Home Secretary as “Of Serious National Importance”

 

But we continue to ask, if this is so then where is the Public Consultation on such proposals held in such importance by the Government?

Speak to any Police Officer and they will accept that they have to take their share during the austerity measures being implemented. However what they are against is a huge reduction in their pay and increases in their pension contributions in order to pave the way for 20% cuts at the hand of Government and the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO).

 

Remember the only thing you get for less is less!!
