Dedicated to the Protection of the office of Constable

Protect Our Police UK was set up in March 2011 following the publication of the Winsor and Hutton reports which outlined proposals for dramatic changes to Police pay, conditions and pensions.

The proposals were set to hugely change the way UK Police actually deliver the service to the community.

Constables work at the very heart of our communities and we want YOU whether a Member of the Public or Police Officer to use this site in order to Protect the Office of Constable and ultimately the service YOU receive.

In the UK the Police deliver the service with Public Consent.

There has been little or no public consultation regarding cuts in Police budget and officer numbers. The proposals set out by Winsor and Hutton will change the Pay and Conditions of service of Police Officers. Again there has been no Public Consultation regarding this!

No rank & file Police Officer will disagree that the Police Service can become more efficiently run however the 20% Cut is far too deep too soon and will have a dire consequence not only for the service but the community it serves YOUR community.

1) Crime will not go away only the levels of crime will change

2) Changing the Police Service so drastically will change the service YOU receive

3) This in turn will undoubtedly change the Office of Constable beyond all recognition forever and affect YOUR community
