ADOPT A COP

“Adopt a Cop”
Today we very proudly launch online our “Adopt a Cop” scheme. Help us to help our Police Officers Nationally by speaking up against cuts to the Police Service and Police Officers Pay & Conditions ON THEIR BEHALF.
That’s right we want YOU the General Public to “Adopt a Cop” for a few minutes
Why?
We want you to show your support for our Police Officers and help reduce the devastating cuts to the Police Service.
We have heard stories where MP’s are no longer listening to Police Officers, some are not answering their letters whilst other MPs are refusing to have appointments with them. Yet they expected our Police Officers to act during the Summer Riots last year!
Remember Police Officers can’t fight for their own rights or the service you receive!
(Police Regulations 1996 Part V Section 91. “Causing Disaffection”) Police Act 1996
Here’s the best bit . . . “Adopt A Cop” is totally free apart from printing a small poster and a few minutes of your time!!!
There are just 4 easy Steps to “Adopting A Cop”
Remember Protect Our Police are not asking you “to cause, or attempt to cause, or do any act calculated to cause, disaffection amongst the members of any police force, or induce or attempt to induce, or do any act calculated to induce, any member of a police force to withhold their services.”
Just simply ask them some questions ‘if they are not busy’ then make your own mind up!
It couldn’t be easier!
STEP 1
WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO
All YOU have to do is the next time YOU ‘See a Cop’ simply ‘Adopt’ them just for a minute or two and simply ask them . . . .
“How do you feel being a Police Officer?”
If they are not busy you will always receive an answer we guarantee it!
STEP 2
SPEAK UP ON BEHALF OF OUR POLICE
Police Officers will be extremely grateful for your help:
Speak with your local MP and tell them that you have spoken a Police Officer. Tell them what they said to you. If you have received a poor service then tell your MP this too.
You can also write or email your MP on behalf of the Police Officers and the Police Service.
Remember it’s against the law for Police Officers to Strike or take any form of industrial action so let’s speak up on their behalf
STEP 3
PRINT A POSTER
Come back to our website and print off a poster which you can put up to show YOUR support for our Police Officers and Police Service. Please place the poster in a window of your home, your business, and noticeboards in the workplace so others can see your support. Remember to first ask the permission of the householder or Boss at work:
Step 4
A BIG THANK YOU
We showed YOU why Police Officers and the Federation are prevented from protecting their rights and those of their communities by way of the Police Regulations Act 1996 under the clause “Causing Disaffection”. http://www.protectourpolice.co.uk/
This means Police Officers and their Union the Police Federation of England & Wales can’t take action but we the General Public can.
The Government, through the Home Secretary are riding roughshod over our Police Officers and their negotiating procedures. YOUR support and the consequent pressure on politicians will be crucial in the next stage of cuts to Policing in the UK.
Police Officers have taken a massive wallop in their Terms and Conditions but appear to have merely and very reluctantly accepted this, putting their personal detriment aside without complaining, maintaining a dignified and professional attitude and “Getting on with the job of delivering Policing and protecting the Public” with all the “Good will”.
Government changes will seriously impact on the level and quality of service the Police Officers will be able to deliver to local communities, and those same Police Officers will not accept an erosion of the service they give to their communities.
Our Police Officers want to provide the very highest standards of professional service to us the public but what the Government are doing is attacking the very heart of that Police Service. The Police Service will change beyond all recognition putting Public Safety at risk.
Don’t delay Protect Our Police today!
